If the Maildir on a Plesk server gets mangled, the file “maildirsize” in the user’s mail directory may get out of sync. There are many knowledge base articles out there that claim to solve the problem – but the only real cure that I found so far is described at https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12377321189527-Usage-statistics-of-a-mailbox-are-not-accurate-in-the-Mail-Accounts-section-of-a-Plesk-domain. It boils down to a
plesk repair mail [emailaddress]on the SSH console.
